Did you know millions in Asia still wait to read or hear God’s Word in their language? Despite persecution in this region, God moves powerfully, and you can join this Kingdom expansion through prayer.

Lands of Diversity and Great Need

Asia is home to more than 4.7 billion people, spanning 49 countries, holding thousands of languages — many still without the Bible. This linguistically-rich region encompasses about 60% of the world’s population. Asia’s cultural and ethnic diversity makes it central to fulfilling the Great Commission.

Many smaller language communities in Asia feel unseen, but God remembers them. Our Good Shepherd's eye is on every precious community and calls His people to ensure every tribe and tongue hears the Gospel in the language they dream in.

A Courageous Solution

Across Asia, local believers step forward for Bible translation training. This holy work often comes with immense challenges. Translation teams endure persecution, violence, and poverty — some even walk miles off-road to avoid detection or risk their lives in conflict zones. One translator recounted the threat of gun violence from an aggressive soldier and praised God for His protection. These men and women press forward, convinced of God’s call.

Testimony of Transformation

“During a village checking session, I met a translator who showed me the Bible written in our mother tongue. It was the first time I had ever seen the Bible in our language, and it immediately caught my interest. I assisted them with checking and started learning Bible verses immediately. The truth deeply touched my heart. During times of struggle, I began remembering God’s Word and praying to the Lord for guidance. The translated Scriptures have benefited our people, helping us grow in faith. The Word for the World Responds

The Word for the World responds to God’s call by partnering with indigenous translators across Asia. We invest in communities, provide training, equip teams with tools, and build infrastructure for sustainability. 

We partner with the global Church to mobilize prayer, funding, and support for these faithful workers in some of the most challenging places on earth.
